PROJECT MANAGER Our Project Managers are critical to ensuring the overall satisfaction of our customers. They ensure all our projects are completed within agreed upon timelines, on budget and with the highest level of quality. Ideally, our Project Manager possesses 3 years project management experience in a manufacturing or construction environment and a background in fabrication.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROJECT MANAGER
    • Assume ownership of the project from start to finish overseeing aspects including design and fabrication.
    • Ensure approvals to proceed with the project have been received (i.e. PO)
    • Work with the client from the start of each project to ensure everyone clearly understands the project scope and vision
    • Overall project planning including;
      • - Create and manage project schedules according to client needs and expectations.
        - Working with the fabrication manager to determine the resorce requirements/availability (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish.
        - Managing costs/budget based on quote
    • Collaborate with the architect, engineers, interior designers, homeowners and fabrication team to determine the specifications of the project and ensure feasibility.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes/standards and obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
    • Conduct meetings with fabrication team as required.
    • Acquire supplies and materials and provide sign off to corresponding purchase orders.
    • Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure costs are managed.
    • Supervise Design Detailers ensuring they have obtained all necessary information to effectively detail complete drawing sets (find hardware specs on line, call suppliers for availability of materials)
    • rovide sign off on all project related drawing packages prior to client submission.
    • Anticipate bottlenecks and problems, then proactively troubleshoot and mitigate the issue.
    • Evaluate and communicate project progress at Production meetings
    • Identify any requests for changes by the client. Manage these changes with the client and work with the Design Detailer, Fabrication and Installation Teams in troubleshooting throughout the Project.
    • Prepare and submit project change estimates as required
    • Manage revenue collection through review and sign off of invoices, as well as follow up of outstanding invoices.
    • Review and sign off of all packing slips.
    • Manage relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report.
    • Jobsite measurement as required.
    • Comply with all Reale Born Inc procedures including the maintenance of the customer job file ensuring a complete audit trail of drawing and project activities in chronological order.
    • Attend project site meetings when required.
    • Document communications with external parties and ensure the Project Team is apprised of all new or changing information.
    • Execute multiple projects at a time with varying scope, schedule and team structures.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • 3 years or more of metal manufacturing industry experience.
    • Post secondary education in Architecture or Industrial design is an asset.
    • An understanding of established building codes and standards to ensure compliance.
    • Read and interpret structural design details and fabrication drawings.
    • A high level of software competency including the following; Outlook, AutoCAD, Excel, Word, (Inventor and/or SolidWorks).
    • Ability to keep project moving toward successful completion in face of the highs and lows of the project cycle.
    • Capable of encouraging and enabling people to work together as a team to accomplish the best possible outcomes.
    • Ability to recognize issues and resolve them.
    • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills for communications with architects, clients, interior designers and material suppliers. Including the ability to manage expectations with the client and other key stake holders.
    • Able to provide information regarding tasks, plans, schedules to key stakeholders.
    • Comfortable with negotiating win-win agreements.
    • Makes sound judgements with conflicting priorities.

DESIGN DETAILER We are currently looking for a full-time Design Detailer to add to our creative and dedicated team of designers, fabricators and installers of architectural metal and glass products. Our Design Detailer collaborates with the project team to detail and draw unique custom architectural items. All designs drawn are fabricated in our shop and installed by our installation team. We take pride in consistently delivering at or beyond our client’s expectations and aim for only the highest level of craftmanship. Our creations are in various materials including steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze, glass and other materials as required. Our hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 7am- 4pm, Friday 7am- 1pm. Our Design Detailer’s are accountable, dependable and above all detailed-orientated. Ideally, they have 5 years design detailing experience and a diploma in architecture technology or industrial design.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DESIGN DETAILER
    • Review and understand the scheduling requirements of each project.
    • Participate in project launch meetings with project launch team.
    • Prepare clear, complete and accurate drawing packages (existing condition, approval, and part drawings) indicating dimensions, fastening and joining requirements.
    • Obtain all necessary information to effectively detail complete drawing sets. (find hardware specs on line, call suppliers for availability of materials)
    • Ensure the internal review and sign off of all drawings prior to client submission.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes/standards.
    • Respond to any requests for changes by the client and work with the Project Manager, Fabrication and Installation Teams in troubleshooting throughout the Project.
    • Collaborate with the Shop Supervisor periodically to help finalize any concept/fabrication details, without compromise to good design and aesthetics.
    • Periodically, walk the fabrication facility with the fabrication supervisor to gain an understanding of the fabrication of the designed and detailed products to support continuous improvement of the end to end development process.
    • Jobsite measurement will be required from time to time.
    • Comply with all Reale Born Inc procedures including the maintenance of the customer job file ensuring a complete paper trail of drawing and project activities in chronological order.
    • Attend project site meetings when required.
    • Review all drawings and sketches received from clients, architects, interior designers and contractors to ensure thorough understanding of the client’s needs.
    • Communicate with structural engineers, architects, contractors and designers to ensure accurate execution of the project drawings.
    • Document communications with external parties and ensure the Project Manager is apprised of all new or changing information.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Extreme attention to detail.
    • Engineer and detail 3D models.
    • Convert 2D metal parts into 3D.
    • 1 year or more of metal manufacturing industry experience considered an asset.
    • Must be able to carry up to 80 lbs and must be able to climb a ladder.
    • An understanding of established building codes and standards to ensure compliance.
    • 5 years experience in the preparation of structural design details and fabrication drawings.
    • Diploma in architecture technology or industrial design considered an asset.
    • A high level of software competency through on-going use including the following; software, Outlook, AutoCAD, Excel, Word, (Inventor and/or SolidWorks).

ESTIMATOR We are currently looking for a mid-level to senior Construction Estimator to join our sales and estimating team. This is an essential role in the life cycle of every project undertaken by Realeborn, as it establishes the resources, methods, and general framework to be employed by the project team. The successful candidate will have an unbridled enthusiasm for challenging and unique projects, a passion for visionary design, and a broad knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, and construction methods.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ESTIMATOR
    • Produce cost estimates for potential projects, including rough-order-of-magnitude ballpark costings for initial budgets as well as accurate and detailed formal costings for bid proposals
    • Perform quantitative take-offs to establish accurate material, labour, and equipment costs
    • Identify and make allowances for anticipated general conditions and project-related soft costs, including mobilization, detailing, engineering, travel, etc
    • Solicit feedback, time projections, and cost information from internal staff and external vendors
    • Prepare formal bid responses, including RFI’s, bid forms, leveling sheets, qualifications, and other supporting materials
    • Gather data on past projects to identify trends, commonalities, and rules of thumb
    • Maintain and “ make better “ the internal cost reference database
    • Establish new and maintain ongoing relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and trades
    • Monitor progress of awarded projects to ensure conformance to the original budget and fabrication intent, and to absorb information about details, challenges, and successes to increase accuracy of subsequent estimates
    • Participate in post-project review meetings to gain insights from recorded data and anecdotal information
    • Identify and offer solutions for value engineering opportunities that maintain the client’s design intent as well as Realeborn’s high standards
    • Review and offer improvements to Realeborn’s internal costing tools and processes
    • Keep informed with progressive manufacturing and construction methods, digital fabrication, and the latest methods and equipment available on the market;
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Degree or diploma in a relevant field: Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Technology, etc.
    • Experience in construction estimating, preference for large general contractors
    • Passion for discovery, creativity, design, and fabrication
    • Deep understanding of construction processes, manufacturing techniques, material properties, and standard practices
    • Ability to interpret architectural/construction drawings, written specifications, and contract documents
    • Ability to “fill in the blanks” when information is incomplete or non-existent

CNC MACHINE OPERATOR We are currently looking for a CNC Operator to join our Digital Fabrication Department. This position will be responsible for production flow, workspace arrangement, shop maintenance, and equipment management, particularly but not exclusively, on any CNC Router(s).

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CNC MACHINE OPERATOR
    • Set-up and operate all CNC machines (5-axis and/or 3-axis routers)
    • Manage material inventory to coincide with CNC production cue
    • Troubleshoot CNC-related problems
    • Read and interpret technical drawings
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • At least 1 year of work experience operating a 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC router
    • Experience CNC routing woods and plastics
    • Experience working in a woodshop and using standard tools of the trade

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LEAD INSTALLER
    • Ensure scheduling requirements and delivery goals are met for each project.
    • Participate in project meetings with Estimators, Project Managers, Shop Managers, and Designers as required.
    • Understand installation drawing packages (existing condition, approval, and part drawings) to execute projects seamlessly.
    • Organize in advance for upcoming installations by: securing the installation crew, scheduling vehicles, ensuring availability of required tools, locating hardware specs on-line and calling suppliers for availability of materials.
    • Prepare for installations by ensuring all necessary information has been provided by the project manager, or shop manager.
    • Collaborate with the Shop Supervisor periodically to help finalize any installation details, without compromise to good design and aesthetics.
    • On a daily basis, review work in progress with Shop Supervisor to respond to any changes to ensure all project installation requirements are met.
    • Travel to job sites daily.
    • Some overnight travel may be required.
    • Operate installation equipment such as power tools, chain falls, genie lifts etc.
    • Ensure professionalism and the utmost care is taken by the installation team when working on-site often around finished floors and walls in upscale homes.
    • Careful use of ladders and or staging as required.
    • Collaborate with other trades on-site.
    • Responsible for the supervision of Junior installers during installations.
